Beloader Pro
These are the written step-by-step instructions for the new LOCAL REMOTE PLAY system. This new system is a standalone hardware client that is added to your local network and paired to your console so that you're able to use the consoles Remote Play System, but without connecting to the Online Remote Play servers - everything is done on your local network, so it eliminates all lag and disconnecting issues that you may experience with the Online Remote Play system!
Be sure to follow them exactly as written, or your controller will disconnect every 8-10 minutes, or not work at all. Memo: If you are wondering why your controller is disconnecting 👈 this is why.
⚡IMPORTANT
DO NOT follow other instructions, download other files, or watch other videos because many of them are either wrong, confusing, misleading, or the wrong version files/steps for Cronus Zen.
Also, DO NOT have any scripts or GamePacks enabled until you are happy with your controller's setup and performance (disabled = press the memory slot button P1 until the Zen GearHead logo is on the OLED screen - see below).

It is important to make sure both Cronus Zen & Beloader Pro are updated using the latest software.

Remote Play is a feature available on all PS4 and PS5 consoles. This is everything you need to get Cronus Zen working with the new LOCAL REMOTE PLAY method.
Your PS5 or PS4 must be connected to a broadband network with PS Remote Play enabled.
- 1 x Cronus Zen, upgraded to .
- 1x CAT 6 Ethernet Cable (the shorter the better but supports up to 100ft).
- 1 x USB-C OTG Adapter (if using a mobile device or the PS5's front USB-C port - see Step 4).
- A PS Remote Play compatible PS4/PS5 game.
We will now take you through each step, exactly as demonstrated in the video at the top of this page. All screenshots shown are from the PS5, but each step is pretty much the same on the PS4.
It seems like a lot but don't worry, just follow the steps exactly as written, it will only take a few minutes. The good news is you only have to do this once 🙂

These are a number of recommended settings that improve Zen's stability and performance. You should also unpair/delete your controller so that it doesn't sync to the console instead of the Zen.

These are the names of all Zen's USB ports, buttons and LED's. Be sure to familiarize yourself with them as they're used throughout this guide.

Hardware Used: Windows 11 PC, mini-USB cable, Zen Studio , and the latest Zen firmware .
- Connect CRONUS ZEN to a Windows PC from the PROG mini-USB Port.
- Open ZEN STUDIO 👉 Device Panel 👉 Select "Enable PS Remote Play" (See video below).
- Wait for the Zen to restart, make sure that PS Remote Play is still enabled. You can now close Zen Studio.
If PS Remote Play isn't enabled after the restart, or if Zen Studio says Device Disconnected, click the Find Device button and it should then detect the Zen. If it still isn't detected, or PS Remote Play isn't enabled, close Zen Studio, unplug the PROG mini-USB cable from the Zen, open Zen Studio, reconnect the mini-USB cable to Zen's PROG USB port and try again.
The video below shows each of these steps:

These are the names of the Beloader Pro USB ports, buttons and LED's that you will be using when setting it up with the Cronus Zen. Be sure to familiarize yourself with them as they're used throughout this guide.

Hardware Used: Windows 11 PC, USB-C cable, a LOCAL REMOTE PLAY device (Beloader Pro), the software, and the latest Beloader Pro firmware .
Install Beloader Pro Windows Driver v1.0 from the files downloaded earlier.
- While holding down the UPGRADE button, connect BELOADER PRO to a Windows PC from the POWER UCB-C Port. When the adapter is detected, the status LED will change to WHITE.
- Open the SUPER MANAGER software 👉 Upgrade 👉 Select Upgrade Firmware 👉 Select the Update.bin file from the Firmware/New Folder 👉 Select Upgrade.
- The Beloader STATUS LED will flash RED while programming. Wait for "Upgrade Success" - it takes about 30 seconds.
- Select the blue BACK button to go back to Super Manager main screen. Keep the Beloader connected and in UPGRADE mode (Super Manager will say "Found adapter").
The video below shows each of these steps:

This next step is the most important part because without a valid PSN Account ID the Beloader will not pair to your console correctly. Make sure the Beloader is still connected to a PC in upgrade mode (see Step 3).
Connect a good quality network cable to the ETHERNET port of the Beloader Pro and connect the other end to your Modem/Router (CAT6 cable is preferred).
- Go back to the Super Manager main screen and select the blue CONFIGURATION button.
- Select 1️⃣ "Click here to setup your PSN account" and you will be directed to the PS Remote Play website. Login to the PSN account you'll be using on your PlayStation, you will be redirected to a blank webpage with "redirect" in the top left corner. Copy the URL that you're redirected to (ctrl+v or right click+copy).
- Select 2️⃣ "Click here after copy successfully" and Super Manager runs a very simple Python script to determine your PSN Account ID. You can also enter your PSNID manually if you already know it.

The video below shows each of these steps:

OK you're almost there. You are now ready to pair the Beloader device to your PS4/PS5. This is the magic sauce that makes the Remote Play service Local as opposed to Online.
At this stage you can connect the Beloader Pro to any USB power source from the POWER USB-C port; it no longer has to be connected to your PC. In the video the front USB-C port of the PS5 is used for Beloader power. You can use the short USB-C Cable that came with the Beloader, along with a USB-C OTG Adapter as this works quite nicely.
⚙️ 👉 System 👉 Remote Play 👉 Link Device
You will be given an 8-digit code which will be valid for 300 seconds.
- Go back to Super Manager and copy the 8-digit code to 3️⃣, then hit the blue "Click Save" button.
- Enter the code manually into Super Manager 3️⃣ "PS5 console eight-digit matching code" without any spaces, then select the blue button "Click save". Once it has finished a popup will say "Configuration saved successfully". You can now click on the confirm button to continue.
Setup is now complete for the Beloader Pro. You can close Super Manager.
For this example, we'll use a PS5 DUALSENSE Controller, connected to Zen's A1 with a USB-C cable (see Step 6B for Bluetooth instructions).
- Connect Beloader Pro from the POWER USB-C Port to any USB power supply (we use the front USB-C port on the PS5 with a USB-C OTG adapter).
The Beloader Pro STATUS LED will flash BLUE while it is pairing via your Modem, and as soon as it has successfully paired, the Beloader Pro LED will change to solid GREEN, indicating that it has successfully paired LOCALLY to the PlayStation® Remote Play system.
- Connect Cronus Zen from its rear CONSOLE micro-USB Port to the front USB port of the Beloader Pro (don't connect any controllers to the Zen just yet).
After a few seconds, connect the controller to Zen's A1 USB Port, tap the reset button and the Zen RGB and the controllers Touchpad LED will change to PINK if everything is correctly paired and ready to go. Remember, PINK = SUCCESS!
It doesn't have to be a DUALSENSE®, you can connect any controller you like to Cronus Zen's A1 USB port, including of course the DUALSHOCK4®. Most Xbox®, PlayStation® and Switch® controllers are fully supported, both wired and wireless (Xbox controllers require the Xbox Wireless Adapter v2).
You can also use a Mouse & Keyboard in a controller lobby (we recommend using the Cronus MK Switch).
You are now able to play any PS5 game with full Cronus Zen support including GamePacks, GPC Scripts, Controllers and Mouse & Keyboard Engine.
If you wish to use your DUALSENSE® controller wirelessly using Bluetooth, we recommend that you first clear the Bluetooth pairing cache first. Connect Zen to a PC using the PROG mini-USB cable. Open Zen Studio and go to Device Panel and click the Clear BT Devices button.
You'll get a confirmation pop-up; click Yes.

First make sure the controller's battery is fully charged, then hold the CREATE+PS buttons until the DUALSENSE® lightbar flashes WHITE.
Press Zen's Bluetooth pairing button P2 until the RGBs flash BLUE.
- After a few seconds your controller is paired and you're ready to game!
You can also connect a wired headset directly to the Beloader Pro. Be sure to also connect a USB-C cable from the EXT POWER USB Port directly to the PlayStation® for full wired headset support.

When connected, the console will show a message that your PSN account is successfully using a headset. If you have more than one account, it will ask which one you wish to use the headset with. Super easy!
Connecting a headset directly to the Beloader Pro instead of the Cronus Zen means that Zen is not using the heavy CPU cycles that audio demands, so immensely complex GamePacks or Scripts can run without risking disconnecting when using a wired headset.
