Anti-Recoil

๐Ÿ”ด Anti-Recoil

Recoil is when your weapon moves on its own while firing. Anti-Recoil reduces this erratic movement making your shots more accurate and more likely to hit your target.

Info: Anti-Recoil values are different for each weapon, so the built-in Weapon Tracking System applies expert Anti-Recoil values and other Mod settings specific to the weapon you're using.

However, attachments can change the mechanics of the weapon, so we also provide the ability to fine-tune the horizontal and vertical X & Y-Axis for both Primary and Secondary weapons.

Legit Weapon AI

For the first time in a Cronus Community GamePack, you can now instantly detect the weapon you're using without needing to manually select it from the GamePack menu thanks to our new Weapon AI system developed by LegitCloudzzz.

Simply hold the Quick Toggle with the Weapon you picked up and the name of the weapon will appear on your Cronus Zen OLED screen in less than a second. The AI detects unique rumbles from each weapon which act as a kind of "fingerprint" making it possible to detect which weapon you are holding.

Certain weapons may have alternate firing modes such as single fire or turbo options. To switch between these modes hold VIEW / TOUCHPAD + LS/L3. The change will then be displayed on the OLED of your device.

In the case there is a miss weapon detection using Weapon AI please provide as much of the following. This will be used by developers to correct any potential bugs in Weapon AI. Information other than this is not relevant to Weapon AI and is needed:

  • Platform (Xbox, Playstation, Remote Play(Playstation) or PC)
  • Controller
  • Trace 1 Value while View / Touchpad is held
  • Trace 2 Value while View / Touchpad is held
  • Trace 3 Value while View / Touchpad is held
  • Trace 4 Value while View / Touchpad is held

The Trace Value can be seen in the Device Monitor.

In-Game Vibration MUST be enabled for Weapon AI to work. It doesn't matter if your controller has no physical rumbles, Zen is detecting these signals from the game, not your controller. Xbox also has two extra rumbles so detection is a little faster and less prone to any false positives.

๏ปฟ

In versions 1.4 and greater the GamePack Zen will automatically detect the platform you are playing and selecting the detection type is no longer required. as of version 1.5 Xbox One, Xbox Series X |S, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5 are currently supported (both current and nextgen versions). PC and Switch are not officially supported presently and Legit Weapon AI may not function correctly.

If the weapon being detected does not change automatically continue to hold the toggle until the OLED of the Zen goes black then release the toggle.

๏ปฟ

If using mouse and keyboard with Weapon AI ensure that VIEW / TOUCHPAD if bound to at least 1 keyboard key. This bind will need to be held when using Weapon AI with mouse and keyboard.

๏ปฟ

Weapon AI is not officially supported with the Steam or Origin version of the game. If you are playing either version of the game you must select PC / Mobile for Emulator Output Protocol and connect your controller to port A3. Steam and Origin controller settings need to be at the application default as well. Deviating from this may break rumble detection resulting in only a Havoc being detected or the incorrect weapon.

Depending on the weapon that has been picked up you will need to use a certain toggle to detect each weapon.

๐Ÿ”ด Weapon Group 1

Hold VIEW or TOUCHPAD + D-PAD UP to detect the following weapons. The OLED screen will display the weapon name and all mods and settings associated with this weapon will be automatically loaded to your current active weapon profile. In order for the detection process to complete you will need to hold this toggle for about 3 seconds.

  • Peacekeeper
  • EVA-8
  • Mozambique
  • Longbow
  • Charge Rifle
  • Wingman
  • Sentinal
  • Volt

๐Ÿ”ด Weapon Group 2

Hold VIEW or TOUCHPAD + D-PAD DOWN to detect the following weapons. The OLED screen will display the weapon name and all mods and settings associated with this weapon will be automatically loaded to your current active weapon profile. In order for the detection process to complete you will need to hold this toggle for about 3 seconds.

  • Prowler
  • 30-30 Repeater
  • C.A.R. SMG
  • Mastiff
  • Devotion

๐Ÿ”ด Weapon Group 3

Hold VIEW or TOUCHPAD + D-PAD MENU / OPTIONS to detect the following weapons. The OLED screen will display the weapon name and all mods and settings associated with this weapon will be automatically loaded to your current active weapon profile. In order for the detection process to complete you will need to hold this toggle for about 3 seconds.

  • Alternator
  • R301
  • P2020
  • RE-45
  • Hemlock
  • Bocek Bow
  • Rampage
  • Kraber

๐Ÿ”ด Weapon Group 4

Hold VIEW or TOUCHPAD + D-PAD RS / R3 to detect the following weapons. The OLED screen will display the weapon name and all mods and settings associated with this weapon will be automatically loaded to your current active weapon profile. In order for the detection process to complete you will need to hold this toggle for about 3 seconds.

  • L-STAR
  • Havoc Rifle
  • Triple Take
  • G7 Scout
  • Spitfire
  • Flatline
  • R99

Info: We recommend you're in a spot where not much is going on during detection for the best result. Things such as being out of the circle, explosions, jumping, proximity to interactive objects, etc. all will feed rumble information to your controller potentially causing false positives.

๏ปฟ

For any reason should detection pick the incorrect weapon you can manually override the weapon loaded using the Jump Toggle: View / Touchpad + RT / R2.

๏ปฟ

Certain weapons may have alternate profiles such as different ammo types, firing modes or turbochargers. To quickly switch to these prfiles hold VIEW / TOUCHPAD + LEFT DPAD

How to setup & tune Anti-Recoil manually

  1. Enable "Anti-Recoil".
  2. Choose your "Profile" with your "Weapon"
  3. Press B / Circle to exit and save your selection from the main GamePack menu.
  4. Hold View / Touchpad and press LT / L2 to bring up Anti Recoil tuning for the currently selected weapon profile. In this GamePack the active weapon in use is always tracked and when this toggle is used you will be brought to Anti Recoil tuning for the active weapon in use.

For example, I am going to use the "Flatline". I will load the "Flatline" as my active weapon.

  1. I am going to stand in front of a wall.
  2. I will fire a full clip against a wall.
  3. The Recoil-Pattern should be perfect.
  4. If not follow Steps 5-8.
  5. If I have recoil which goes down too much, I have to decrease "Y Value".
  6. If I have recoil which goes up too much, I have to increase "Y Value".
  7. If I have recoil which goes Left and Right too much, I have to decrease "X Value".
  8. Finish by decreasing X by increments of -1 at a time until satisfied.

Optional (On Hit Anti Recoil options) Shooting an enemy or target dummy

9. If I have recoil which goes up too much, I have to increase "Y Value".

10. If I have recoil which goes down too much, I have to decrease "Y Value".

11. If I have recoil which goes Left and Right too much, I have to decrease "X Value".

12. Finish by decreasing X by increments of -1 at a time until satisfied.

๏ปฟ

Some weapons may become untuned after tuning On Hit values. If this is the case leave your tuned On Hit values then go back to steps 5 - 8 and retune those specific weapons while On Hit is enabled. These final adjustments should not be too far off from where you first tuned them.

๏ปฟ

In Apex Legends when shooting at anything that triggers Aim Assist such as target dummies or enemies extra recoil is needed to compensate for this in-game mechanic.

๏ปฟ

Now you have a perfect Wall-Pattern, when setting recoil for an enemy we recommend adding 10 on top of your "Y Value". For example, if you had a "Y Value" of "0" your new value would be 10 to start. The X-Axis follows the same process except we recommend adding 15 to the X-Axis as a starting point for tuning when shooting any enemy or dummy targets.

๏ปฟ

Anti Recoil how it works and what to expect:

As previously mention normally when firing a weapon each gun will produce a certain pattern. Anti Recoil works by moving the stick used to aim in the opposite direction of this pattern to reduce and attempt to eliminate the effect of recoil. The recoil for each weapon is tuned for guns with no attachments with the exception being extended magazines. Using or not using an extended magazine will not affect your recoil. Other attachments though will require at least some tweaks using the Anti Recoil adjustables. The further away you are from a target the more fine-tuning that may be required. Keep in mind that there is in-game weapon sway which is an in-game mechanic for Anti Recoil does not account for. As such you may notice a slightly different pattern between each group of shots made.

๏ปฟ

In the latest version of the Apex Legends GamePack, the adjustables work in a way that scales the X and Y axis for their respective adjustables. Adjusting the Y-axis to be larger will move your shots down while reducing it will raise it (the opposite is true if using inverted options). Now when it comes to the X-axis reducing or raising this value does not mean that the X-axis will move left or right as it would with a traditional Anti Recoil adjustable. This goes back to how the new recoil system works which is by scaling the pattern and not a push which many have been accustomed to using previous GamePacks and scripts posted by users. Switching to a push style adjustable while more familiar ultimately would produce an inferior effect at longer ranges. While this is a new change the end result with a little tweaking will produce a far better end result.

๏ปฟ

Next, we will go a little deeper into how Anti Recoil works so you can have a better understanding of it and what to expect when using it. Normally when firing a weapon Anti Recoil moves the stick your aim within the opposite direction to compensate for the effects of recoil. Then when you are physically moving that analog stick you will get a stacked effect. Ok, so what does that mean? Well, an analog stick can have a value or anything of -100 to 100. Negative values are left for the X-Axis and Up for the Y-Axis. Then positive values are right and down movements.

๏ปฟ

Let's take the following as an example.

  • Weapon R301
  • 4 /4 Sensitivity
  • Small Deadzone

Here when not touching the analog stick for aiming your Y-Axis can output anything for about +5 to about +50 without any adjustments to Y. Now when looking at the X-Axis with the same conditions these values can be anything from about -20 (left movement) to about +30 (right movement). If you are happy with the effect recoil is giving you when not moving the analog stick at all but then all of a sudden when moving the analog stick you notice an unwanted movement when actually using the analog stick. This is the stacked effect we referred to earlier. Say you are moving the analog stick right and it is +15 which is a low value and typical for micro-adjustments and Anti Recoil is outputting a value of +10. Your Zen is now outputting around +25 since it is combining both movements. This would be reduced if Anti Recoil is giving a negative value which does happen as a weapon can change direction up to 20 times in any direction.

๏ปฟ

This may give some players, not all some difficulty making finer micro-adjustments. To counter this stacking effect select the "Legit" Anti-Recoil option. When used a special form of Anti-Recoil is used to counter Anti-Recoil stacking. This option is also needed to have Aim Assist run while firing.

๏ปฟ

What can happen depending on what direction you are moving your analog stick in a combination of the point where the Anti Recoil MOD is in the Anti Recoil pattern is a kick-up or a minimal stacking effect. Movement going up is due to not enough Y movement applied due to Micro Recoil reducing its strength and left and right movement from strong pulls in the recoil pattern. While it would be great to eliminate this as a whole you simply can not have it both ways due to the nature of how an Anti Recoil MOD works. Remember Zen does not modify game code or memory and will help and assist you. Though it is not going to give you a PC style no recoil effect when moving the right stick.

๏ปฟ

To go straight to the Anti-Recoil Adjustments Hold VIEW/TOUCHPAD & Press LT/L2. Alternatively if selecting a weapon in the GamePack menu you can simply press X / Square and you will be taken to Anti Recoil adjustments for the selected weapon.

Info: Recoil Adjustables

Each weapon now has its own base X-Axis and Y-Axis adjustable. Regardless of the profile the weapon is loaded to these base values are automatically loaded when a weapon is selected. Should there be a need to have the same weapon used in multiple profiles with different settings you now are able to set the attachments in use for each Primary and Secondary of profiles 1 to profile 5. When setting up a weapon for the first time it is recommended to adjust the Y-Axis first then the X-Axis. Once done anytime the weapon is picked these values are automatically loaded regardless of the profile to which the weapon has been assigned.

๏ปฟ

To make changes to a weapon adjustable either press X / Square while selecting a weapon in the GamePack many or use the Jump Toggle View / Touchpad + LT / L2. You may also press Y / Triangle to go to Attachment Selection for the profile you are setting up. Once you are finished make sure to press B / Circle for changes to save and take effect. changes to recoil adjustment will not take effect until you saved changes to the GamePack.

๏ปฟ

Optics Adjustments

Each profile Primary and Secondary weapon can have attachments associated with its selected weapon. These are tuned specifically for non-ALC settings and usually will not require further tweaking. Though if you play on ALC settings or want to further tweak the strength of a certain optic you can now set the X and Y for optic level from 1x to 4x. Any adjustments made here will affect all optics of the same level. For example, if you use a 2x optic on an R99 and on an R301 the adjustments made to the 2x optic will be applied to both weapons.

Pro Tip: A higher value means a stronger recoil compensation, a lower value means less recoil compensation. Anti-Recoil Vertical strength for both Primary and Secondary Weapons can be adjusted from -100 to 100, and Horizontal Strength from -100 to 100 in real-time by using the Zen OLED GamePack Adjustable Menu.

๏ปฟ

This allows you to quickly tune your weapon directly from your controller while playing the game, and without having to unplug and connect your Zen to a PC.

๏ปฟ

The new multi-stage recoil scales a weapon's pattern by a percentage. If you notice too much upward movement increase the Y value. Increasing Y will make up and down movement greater. Should you want to lessen left and right movements decrease X while increasing it will make these movements stronger.

In-game Deadzone, Sensitivity, and Response curves must match. If these do not match Anti Recoil will not perform as it should and reduce the accuracy of Anti Recoil.

If you are using the Inverted-Y Axis version of this Mod, the Invert Vertical Look In-Game option must be set to enabled.

๐Ÿ”ด Anti-Recoil Output Modifier

In Apex Legends the amount of Anti Recoil needed to keep your weapon steady and level will be different depending on where your aim is looking. Any target which has Aim Assist enabled such as an enemy or red dummy in the firing range will need more recoil than if you were to be shooting a target or wall. Generally, this is around 15 percent more than base recoil. When using this mod you can set whether to always use Off Enemy recoil (base recoil), On Enemy recoil, or switch between both with Dynamic depending on the amount of pressure applied to the fire button. The amount of On Enemy recoil can be set anywhere from -120 to 120. This is a percentage of recoil from the active weapon in use. In most cases, we recommend a value of 16 if using this mod which is good for most cases as a whole. Using ALC settings or tweaking for certain ranges may be different from the recommended value of 16. The HIP adjustable only affects recoil when hip firing or any time ADS is not held. In any other case where ADS is held your On Hit adjustable value will be used.

Info: Attachments for each profile Primary weapon and Secondary weapon can have a Barrel and Optic assigned to it that will affect how Anti-Recoil its output. For best performance match both the barrel and optic in use for your active weapon. For instance, if you were using an R99 with a 2X scope and purple barrel but then pick up a CAR SMG with no scope and a blue barrel. From here you would then need to match no scope and blue barrel in the GamePack menu to your active weapon to ensure the proper amount of recoil is being modified. If changing a weapon for a profile that has attachments picked you will need to match the barrel and optic type in use to ensure proper output of recoil. To set attachments for the active weapon in use either press Y / Triangle while selecting a weapon in the GamePack many or use the Jump Toggle View / Touchpad + RB / R1.

๐Ÿ”ด Weapon Profile Switch Method

This GamePack has a built-in Weapon Tracking System, designed to intelligently manage Anti-Recoil and other Mod settings depending on which weapon you are using in-game so that mods do not conflict with normal gameplay. You can choose to switch from Primary to Secondary Weapon Profiles Automatically, or Manually with a Quick Toggle.

Pro Tip: When using the Auto Switch Method, the built-in Weapon Tracking System may become "desynced". For example, if you respawn with your Secondary Weapon enabled but the Mod is detected and switched to the Primary Weapon, or when navigating the in-game menu. To resync Primary Weapon or Secondary Weapon use the same toggle as the manual switch.
