Readme.1st 🤚

If you are already a Zen user, remember that everything has changed so forget your old settings because they are probably wrong, and you will likely have problems. Delete the older CronusZen or CronusZenBeta folders in %APPDATA%, perform a Hard Reset and start again by upgrading to the latest Zen firmware and Zen Studio software.

As of today, the latest versions are:

Zen Firmware: (Install Instructions)
Zen Studio: (Install Instructions)

🚨 Community Guidelines

When you use Cronus, you join a community of gamers from all over the world. The guidelines below will help you get the answers you need, while keeping things fun and enjoyable for everyone.

1️⃣ Please, Read the Instructions. Please.

Obvious, right? You'd be surprised how many support tickets we get asking what the latest version firmware and software is and how to download. This is why it is important to read the instructions first, we promise everything you need is right here 👍

You also don't have to look hard for targeted instructions. The menu system to your left has been designed so that it is easy to navigate to the exact page you need. It's as simple as 👉 Choose System > Connection Method > Controller Instructions.

For example, if you want to know how to setup a wired DualShock 4 for PC gaming, simply navigate to Step 3 - Choose Your System 👉 Windows PC > Connect by USB > PlayStation Controller (USB) and you'll find step by step instructions for that exact setup - no guesswork and no confusion.

There's also a dedicated TROUBLESHOOTING guide that covers practically every documented error and solution.

2️⃣ Use the Correct Support Channels

Please make sure you are posting to the correct channel when asking for support. There's a lot going on with Zen. Thousands of scripts, hundreds of GamePacks, hundreds of different controllers and mouse and keyboard combinations. So, you can imagine how difficult it is to keep everything organized and managed so that the right answers can be given to questions posted to the right channel.

It's pretty straightforward, Mouse & Keyboard questions are posted to Mouse & Keyboard channels, GamePack questions to the relevant GamePack channels, and so on.

3️⃣ Asking for Help

Your first move is to check the Known Issues page to see if your problem has already been reported, and if any of the provided solutions work. You will find all known bugs reported to that page and updated in real-time.

If you can't find your answer on the Known Issues page, go to the TROUBLSHOOTING MASTER CHECKLIST where we guide you through the main troubleshooting steps. Usually, most problems are resolved pretty quickly.

If you still can't find your solution, we've included a guide on How To Ask For Support, because if your issue can't be replicated, it can't be fixed. This makes sure you're able to get quick support without wasting your time unnecessarily.

If you ever need to ask for help in the Community or Cronus Support Center, it's important to include the following information or support staff and community members will be unable to replicate your problem.

  • Gaming Platform (Console or PC)
  • Controller/MK Models: Provide the full model names/serial numbers of any devices you are using (not just 'PS4 controller' or 'Logitech mouse'). It's also important to know which USB ports they are connected to.
  • If PlayStation 5, are you using PS4 Speciality or PS Remote Play?
  • If PS4 Speciality, are you using the PS5 Dongle or a HORI PS4 Mini-Pad?
  • If PS Remote Play, are you using the official app or Chiaki? Show all settings.
  • Screenshot: Zen Studio > Device (with USB cables/controllers connected).
  • Screenshot: Zen Studio > Programmer > Open Device Monitor (press F3, with USB cables/controllers connected).
  • Screenshot: Zen Studio > M&K Settings (with USB cables/mk connected).
  • A copy of any script you're using that may be causing the problem.

For clean screenshots, you can use SHIFT+WINDOWS KEY+S for the Windows snippet tool. It's what we use for all the screenshots in this guide. You can also select any window and it will copy it to the Windows clipboard. Simply paste it (ctrl+v) into any email, support ticket or Discord conversation - free and easy to use 🙂

There is also a label for every component of the Cronus Zen. This makes instructions easier to follow and is essential when requesting any support. Always use the correct labels whenever possible👍

Example: "Xbox Series X 1914 Controller to A1 (USB) and CONSOLE (micro-USB) to Xbox Series X" NOT "PS4 controller connected to the front USB port".

4️⃣ Again. Do Not Pay for Scripts.

No matter what some Youtuber tells you, their paid scripts are garbage - or very good scripts available for free. There are no GPC scripts that you have to pay for - do not be conned by these scammers. We've seen people pay $80 because it was some never-before-seen 'AimBot' 😡

Cronus doesn't do 'AimBot' no matter what fake videos they show you - they are lying to you, they WANT you to be a sucker.

Don't be a sucker!

Scripts in the Cronus Community are free and open source. Do not ask for payment or give payment to anyone for scripts. If you want the absolute BEST scripts in the world, by the BEST GPC developers in the world, you don't need to look any further than the Cronus Community which includes not only the Cronus Zen Official Discord, but you also have access to the Wizards n Kings GPC Script Discord and the Call of Duty GPC Script Discord run by our good friends and community favorites TaylorDrift21 & DogzTheFighter (you will get invites to those servers once you join the Cronus Discord 👍)

All scripts are freely available in our communities. However, if you want to give the developer a donation for their efforts, many of the top guys have donation links in the above endorsed Discord Channels, which I'm sure they would be extremely grateful for - but NEVER pay for access to any script; you are being conned and you have been warned.

Almost all these paid scripts are uploaded to the GPC library or to community script channels anyway - you don't have to look too hard 😉
