This section of the guide will show you how to quickly setup your Cronus Zen, including updating to the latest firmware and the Zen Studio software, step by step controller guides and how to program Scripts & GamePacks!

Before you get started, we recommend that you perform a hard reset (a factory reset that wipes and tests all memory slots).

1. With nothing connected to the Zen, press and hold down both P1 and P2 buttons together - don't let go!
2. Connect Zen to PC with CONSOLE/PC (micro-USB).
3. Keep both the P1 and P2 blue buttons held down until the Zen RGB LEDs start to flash RED, GREEN, BLUE.

4. If successful, the Collective Minds gear head logo will display on the Zen OLED Screen🙂

NOTE: If you get an E3002 error, Don't Panic! It simply means that you're using an input device or script that crashes the Zen. Contact Cronus support staff if this ever happens. If it's a random E3002 error, simply unplug call USB cables from the Zen, then reconnect and the E3 error will be gone. If the E3 error is there all the time no matter what you do, the firmware space is somehow corrupted. There is also a fix for this - downgrade the firmware to , then upgrade it to .
